Our History

Founded in 1969,with a small store front on Cicero Ave as a mold maker serving the injection molding industry, Cortina has grown into a multi-brand and contract manufacturer with customers throughout the NAFTA market. 

            1969 Company opened in original location in Chicago 

Division_Mold_Moving            1975 Relocated to large plant and first Injection molding machines purchased


               1979 POLY-O industries first line of plastic wheels introduced


         1984 Purchased Rupert Manufacturing and entered into the safety industry


            1989 Purchased New facility in Franklin Park


                      1990 Introduced PLASTX one of the industries first all plastic barricades 



                     1995 Opened Dedicated Molding facility for Lens Grade Molding


          2005 Founded CCI Canada to better serve the Canadian Market                

          2006 Purchased Gleason OEM Caster to expand Circle Caster product offering

                      2010 Introduced Robotic In-Mold Labeling to capabilities
