RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proposes modifications for existing products to improve product cost or function.
- Determines and interprets customer’s requirements on new product development.
- Confers with engineering and management to resolve product design problems.
- Determines and interprets customer’s requirements on new product development.
- Prepares layout and detail drawings for new product development.
- Participates in troubleshooting processes.
- Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in CAD/CAM based design work
- Ability to communicate with customers and vendors technical problems
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO-9000 standard
- Familiarity with SPC and TQM
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to read and write English
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- B.S. in Engineering
- College level studies in business administration
- Minimum three years equivalent in manufacturing
- Five years in design and manufacturing; preferably plastics and/or rubber background
