On December 15 and 16, Intertek served as The Cortina Companies Registrar to audit the Quality Management System. Intertek’s service organization assists in improving performance and efficiency in processes for manufacturing and logistics. As a result the company has been issued the certification standard of ISO 9001:2008, an upgrade from the ISO 9001:2000.
The ISO 9001:2008 standards specify mandates for a process driven quality control system where an organization demonstrates the ability to provide product that meets customer and regulatory requirements on a consistent basis. Additionally, this QC system supports improved/enhanced customer satisfaction through effective application. This includes processes for continual improvement and the assurance of conformity to regulatory requirements. These ISO standards of quality are recognized worldwide for good quality management practices. Thereby, the certificate can also serve as a business reference between potential clients, domestic or international.
