The Cortina Companies is pleased to announce the recent appointment of John M. Pappas as the company’s new Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Pappas, a Cortina associate since 2001, moves up to fill a newly created position.

Pappas retains the responsibility as Managing Director for the Safety Products Group while directing sales & marketing efforts across all business units in the U.S. and Canada.

A graduate of Indiana University, Pappas has spent 25 years in the Traffic Safety Industry with then Services & Materials. Since joining Cortina in 2001, he has been heavily involved and instrumental in growing the company’s Safety Products Group.

“He (Pappas) has been a critical key player in not only charting our course but also attaining our goals,” said Mike Giannelli, CEO. “For the first few years, most of our emphasis was on expanding our line. Today we’re a leader in our class and we’re committed to being the preeminent supplier to the industries we serve.”

Pappas’s appointment is a result of internal changes moving Jeffrey Giannelli to company President. “We’re proud of the top-quality products that Cortina has introduced over the years,” Giannelli said. “I am even prouder of the superb team we’re building. With their support we will keep the company’s efforts on the cutting edge as Cortina moves forward.”
